Brian Driskill, MBA
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Driskill is a former AmerOnc, Inc. client who has over 18 years of healthcare operations and management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. He also earned a M.B.A degree from Troy University, concentrating in healthcare accounting. He has spent the last 10 years as Vice President of Operations with Southeast Cancer Network, Inc. At Southeast Cancer Network, Brian managed the daily operations of 13 cancer treatment centers that provide both medical and radiation oncology services. Brian has extensive experience in revenue cycle management from his years at Southeast Cancer Network, Inc. and Healthsouth Corporation. At Healthsouth, Brian served as Assistant Vice President of Operations in the Business Office Operations of the company.

David Carmichael
Vice President of Operations

David has been in the healthcare management field for over eleven years.  Prior to joining AmerOnc, David was the Director of Implementation for QualityConnectMD® practice management software.  He also served as the Director of Training and Support for the organization.  His experience also includes time as an Administrator for a large pulmonary practice, Billing Department Manager for MedPartners, a national practice management group and Accounts Receivable Analyst for the southeast region of a large practice management organization.  David received his Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Auburn University and is a guest speaker for the Auburn University Capstone class for students majoring in Health Administration.

DeWayne Wilson
Vice President of Sales

DeWayne brings over 14 years of business management experience to AmerOnc, including the past 12 years spent in the healthcare industry.  Prior to embarking on his own consulting venture as a Founding Member of AmerOnc in January 2000, he was an integral member of PCA Health Plans of Texas, Inc. and later Humana, Inc., playing an important role during their expansion as a prominent health insurer for HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medicaid plans in Texas.  His various roles included Director of Provider Contracting and Director of Finance with responsibilities for the review of the company's overall financial position, as well as directing a large staff, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.  Most notably, DeWayne has detailed experience in the development and management of a broad range of contractual agreements and reimbursement methodologies, including fee for service, capitation and other performance-based arrangements.  He is recognized as a seasoned professional in the industry, dedicated to serving the needs of his customers while building mutually beneficial relationships.

Jennifer Rucker Byrne, CPC, CPCI, CHCC, PCS
Corporate Compliance Officer

Mrs. Byrne is dedicated to helping AmerOnc, Inc. and it's clients adhere to all state and federal compliance guidelines for reimbursement and documentation.  She is a certified coder and coding curriculum instructor through the AAPC and is a certified healthcare compliance consultant.  For seventeen years, Mrs. Byrne functioned in a variety of roles in the physician office setting (everything from receptionist, nursing assistant to practice administrator).  Consequently, she has a valuable ability to understand both practical and technical viewpoints for required guidelines.  She was a co-founder of, and served as President of, a Montgomery, AL AAPC chapter between 2000-2005.  In this role, Mrs. Byrne provided continuing education for coders, nurses, physicians and their staff.  Mrs. Byrne also worked for several years with a publishing company where she reviewed and proposed new diagnosis codes to the ICD-9 Coordination and Maintenance committee for CMS in Baltimore, MD.  She has extensive knowledge of the ICD-9 structure and intent.  She worked at a national level, with a national coding and compliance consulting company, advising physician coders in proper application of coding and compliance guidelines.  Mrs. Byrne also has experience with OIG and RAC audits.  Most recently, Mrs. Byrne has worked as the Corporate Compliance Officer for a network of cancer treatment centers in Alabama.  In performing her duties there, she worked with 100+ employees and 13 oncology physicians, at 12 locations.  Her duties included direction of all aspects of the network's corporate compliance plan, periodic assessments of compliance and education of all levels of staff on compliance issues.
